Today, I want to write about an important topic for Ruby beginners, the difference between class and instance methods. As beginners, we can be overwhelmed by so much terminology. What is a method? What “iterating” data means? What’s an argument? And so on and so on. But, I’m here to help. Yes, help. Including myself by writing this for all of us. So let’s take a deep breath and start step by step.
The date is 3/16/20, the hour, 9:00 AM Alaska Time and my anxiety levels are high up with the Northern Lights as my first project is past due. Maybe these are excuses of mine, but imagine having a new job, moving to a new apartment, finishing a 2019 audit in the current job and having this project. Stressful, right?
Today, I woke up with something in mind, write a new blog post at Flatiron. A sunny February Sunday morning in Alaska, the snow is white, the pine trees are getting greener and the coffee smells good. A perfect day to catch up with all my assignments. When I think about a new blog post about my journey as a so called coder newbie and Flatiron School student. There’s something that comes to mind, my frustration with the ‘OO My Pets’ lab.
Hello, this is me. My name is Norberto Santiago, I used to do a podcast with some of my friends called Movie Slam. We did like 11 or 12 episodes and is about movies rated with wrestling moves. If the movie was boring, it would be rated as a sleephold, if it was great, it was a superkick. You got the idea. Other than cohosting a podcast and hanguing out, I write a movie blog called The Small Reviews and I used to host movie night parties at one of my favorite places in town. Looks like a happy person’s life, some great talented friends, writing about movies and hosting parties and last but not least, starting a relationship with a sweet, beautiful woman.
